How Do Anti-Slip Stair Nosings Work?

Anti-slip stair nosings work by adding a textured surface to the edge of each step, which provides better traction. This helps prevent slips and falls, especially in wet or high-traffic areas. Our anti-slip stair nosings are available in various materials, including carborundum and aluminium. These materials are chosen for their durability and effectiveness in different environments, ensuring that each step is safe and secure. The installation of anti-slip stair nosings is a straightforward process that significantly enhances the safety of any staircase.

Enhancing Safety with Stair Nosings

Stair nosings play a crucial role in enhancing the safety of stairways. They provide a better grip for individuals using the stairs, reducing the risk of slips and falls. By clearly marking the edge of each step, stair nosings also improve visibility, especially in low-light conditions. This is particularly important in commercial and public buildings where heavy foot traffic is common. Our products like anti slip strips and anti slip tape further enhance stair safety.

Durability and Protection

Stair nosings not only enhance safety but also protect the edges of the stairs from wear and tear. This prolongs the life of the stairs and reduces maintenance costs. Whether you need a step tread for an indoor staircase or a robust step tread for an outdoor environment, our products are designed to withstand heavy usage and harsh conditions.

Types of Stair Nosings

Aluminium Stair Treads

Aluminium stair treads are a popular choice for their durability and corrosion resistance. These step nosings provide excellent grip and are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. The sleek design of aluminium stair treads also adds a modern touch to any stairway.

Carborundum Stair Nosings

Carborundum stair nosings are known for their superior anti-slip properties. The carborundum inserts provide a high level of traction, making them suitable for environments where safety is a top priority. These stair nosings are perfect for areas prone to moisture, such as industrial sites and outdoor staircases.

Fibreglass Stair Nosings

Fibreglass stair nosings are lightweight yet extremely durable. They offer excellent chemical resistance, making them ideal for industrial settings. The anti-slip surface of fibreglass stair nosings ensures safe footing, even in wet conditions.

Rubber Stair Nosings

Rubber stair nosings provide a soft, cushioned edge that reduces the impact of foot traffic. They are perfect for indoor staircases in schools, hospitals, and residential buildings. Rubber stair nosings also offer excellent slip resistance and are easy to install.
